Last week: Waiting impatiently

Here’s a quick rundown of what I did last week:

Monday, Oct. 29th- Wednesday, Oct. 31st: Waited to see if I made it into the A.V. Club’s contest like a lonely kid waiting for a girl to return the “do you like me” slip of paper with the check boxes on it.

Tuesday, Oct. 30th: Filmed Ken Lowe reading Chapters 7-8 of “50 Shades of Grey.” I’ll let you know when  I regain my appetite.

After that I filmed a rough cut of this year’s Dorito’s Crash The Super Bowl Contest entry. Last year my pacing was way off and I had to squeeze a minute video into 30 seconds. This year I’m avoiding that mistake. Here’s a still of Adam Casner, who wrote the spot, acting it out:

Wednesday, Oct. 31st: Halloween! Pretty excited because I always put off getting a good costume. This one I’ve had in the works for a while. Didn’t get to put my bald cap on in the morning but after work Alida helped me out. Here’s the photo she took of me as the great Heisenberg from “Breaking Bad.”

After the trick-or-treaters were done coming by I checked the A.V. Club’s YouTube account and saw that “Operation: Call Drop” had been uploaded. I’m now one of 200 (and possibly more if they keep uploading) contestants waiting to hear who made the top 15.  They will announce the finalists on November 22nd. Watch the entries on the contest YouTube channel!

Saturday, Nov. 3rd: Attended the wedding of two great friends, and helped Alida take some photos. After she was off the clock we were able to switch gears and party with some friends from college. Here’s one of Alida’s amazing shots. You can see more of her work here!

Sunday, Nov. 4th: Filmed a re-shoot of Jim Vorel dropping a dummy off of a parking garage downtown for our Batman parody. This one has been sitting for too long, so I really need to just finish it and get it out there.
